Lighten Up, Just Laugh – Evening Message #4

Today during our Pleasant Sunday service this afternoon, one of the saints from Pontiac gave me a beautiful message. One phrase she used was, “You take things a little too seriously. For the next week, whenever something negative comes up, just laugh.” I think we can all take this advice, but this was very relevant for me.

The week before last, I became very angry at work. I had a right not to like what was going on. However, I should not have let it get under my skin like I did. Saints and friends, we can chose our reaction/responses. The spirit is saying, “Kill ‘em with kindness.” You can tell a person off without cursing, getting angry, or being nasty. If you have to confront a person or issue, confront it with love.

In the end, we all must learn to lighten up. Life is serious to be sure, but there are many things we cannot control. Why have a stroke or heart attack over foolish. In Job 5:22 we find these words, “At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be afraid of the beasts of the earth.” Laugh at adversity. Do not fear anything or anyone. If you laugh, you will more than likely remain claim. And in that claim state of mind, you will be able to find the solution to your problem.

May God bless you all.
