The gospel of Christ is the key to freedom and abundance. Jesus said, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10) How do we obtain this abundant life? Paul said, “(13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (14) How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? (15) And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”
The gospel of Christ must be preached, taught, and expounded upon. Only dead ministries speak the great phrase of death: “The spirit will teach you?” If the spirit will teach us—why are so many lost? If the spirit will teach us—why are our young people, especially among the African-Americans, gunning each other down daily? The spirit will teach us—through us. Those of us who know the word have a responsibility to preach it, teach it, and explain it. If we don’t, God will hold us accountable. We can’t make anybody believe, but we have to give people the chance to accept it or reject it.
