Let us take the Tiger Woods controversy as a teaching moment. It’s annoying to me that we take these celebrity mess-ups as a time to attack that person. We should take this as a time to reflect on ourselves, our community, and our nation. The time has come to reevaluate our own relationships!

My initial thoughts on the controversy surrounding President-Elect Obama’s choice to have Rick Warren offer the invocation at his inauguration.

 

I had to delay going on the Solemn Fast I wrote about on November 9, 2008. It will start Sunday, December 14, 2008 at 9p through Sunday, December 21, 2008 at 9p. I will follow the same dietary line, only water and juices. Again, the 4th division of Psalms will be the scripture – four times am and three times pm. I will be using this fast to clear my thoughts and further review and execute my goals. Join one of the days if you desire. Peace and Love.

A recent CNN.com article discusses the actions of several atheistic groups to attack religion and the celebrating of Christmas. There is nothing wrong with them pointing out that Jesus was not in fact born on December 25th. It is also acceptable for them to point out that Christmas was grafted onto the celebration of the Winter Solstice or the Birth of the Sun. However, only offering attacks will not help atheists appear loving and moral which is the main attack against them. The better approach for atheists, agnostics, and theists is to help those who are in need. Effecting positive is what we need not more attacks. By doing so, these atheistic groups are falling into the same trap zealous religionists fall into.

Do something. Article on CNN.com called, Woman wants to get resume off her chest, sharked the thought behind this video. Rev. George Latimer-Knight says, “So many people are looking for good jobs and looking for the best opportunities but what about doing something…You have to do something while working to obtain higher goals.”

In this video, the Rev. George Latimer-Knight gives his thoughts on fear. Fear is apprehension. We have to have a vision. Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.” When we know what we want we have accomplished half the battle because a lot of people don’t know what they want in life.
