A recent CNN.com article discusses the actions of several atheistic groups to attack religion and the celebrating of Christmas. There is nothing wrong with them pointing out that Jesus was not in fact born on December 25th. It is also acceptable for them to point out that Christmas was grafted onto the celebration of the Winter Solstice or the Birth of the Sun. However, only offering attacks will not help atheists appear loving and moral which is the main attack against them. The better approach for atheists, agnostics, and theists is to help those who are in need. Effecting positive is what we need not more attacks. By doing so, these atheistic groups are falling into the same trap zealous religionists fall into.

President Bush said he will make this as smooth a transition as possible and I believe him. Regardless of what Bush did, I do believe he loves this nation. The historic turnout and engagement of the electorate will help the incoming administration govern, if the people stay focused. Peace and Love to all.

All Hail to the Christ Within,

Father Hurley is somewhere in glory doing the holy dance. I cannot pretend to know if Father Hurley would have supported the philosophy of Barack Obama. I cannot pretend to know what kind of President Obama will ultimately become. Obama’s high ideals, inspiring rhetoric, decision-making process, and balanced temperament make me hopeful.

Tears are in my eyes nonetheless as I think about what this election means. Father Hurley prophesized that race would no longer hold anyone down. He taught us the power of thought and hard work. He said that African Americans would become professions and business owners. Hurley said that the racial injustices of the past would be paid back by God . Hurley declared that love would melt the racial divide in the United States of America and around the world. With determination and persistent effort all things are possible. This election has brought Hurley’s doctrine to a place that only he truly understood.

HOLD ON TO YOUR DREAMS! Allow me to be crass and blunt. If a Black man can become President of the country that was built on slavery, then truly ALL things are possible. Slaves built this nation. Good God almighty! If now is not the time to spread the sound doctrine that Father Hurley so eloquently laid out, when will it be?

The dynamics of our collective psyche has forever changed. Black brothers and sisters – get off the corners, stop selling drugs, stop binge drinking, stop dropping out – you can be anything. Can you not see the change! An African American won the United States Presidency decisively. Barack Obama is only 47 years old on top of this. Young people are the world changes.

“God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24 NIV)

GET UP AND CHANGE THE WORLD. Thank you my Father. I praise you.

I have the honor to be your obedient servant,

The magic Electoral College number is 270. According to the MSNBC projections Barack Obama will probably be the next U.S. President. Of course, we cannot get ahead of ourselves because projections can change. The biggest story of this election will be the high general turnout and the high turnout of minorities and young people. If the American people continue this push the political lay of the land will forever change. It is high time for the country that fights for democracy around the world to demonstrate its full power.

I went to vote at 7:30a. I did not come out of the voting place until 9:15a. I have never seen a long line at my voting place. It was a very proud moment. I had a beautiful conversation with an older gentlemen and several young ladies. This election woke up the people up. The unprecedented line I saw in my neighborhood renewed my faith in community. I think people are now seeing we have a common goal to see our city, region, state, and nation grow stronger educationally, economically, etc.

Rest assured readers the fire will not be quenced after this election. I have been moved to become more active in the community, even in politics. Prince Herbert Harrison of Gary, Indiana was a speaker for one of the mayors and was known in the political realm, although he was not a politician himself. As the city of Detroit is in political upheaval this is a great time to get involved. We, the people, need to get up build up our own community.

STOP BLAMING THE POLITICIANS THAT YOU LET RUN FREE BY NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO THEM!

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has been fighting the good fight for voters. Voting is our right and responsibility! Please watch the video below because he really gives the, frankly, scary truth about how many votes have been discounted. In 2004, one million African American votes were not counted.

He gives two pieces of sound advice…

1. DON’T ACCEPT A PROVISIONAL BALLOT.

2. VOTE EARLY (IN PERSON IF POSSIBLE).

This is not conspiracy theory but sad facts of how our nation has tried to cover up its racist past. Outright racism is politically incorrect but the feelings of hate, misunderstanding, and intolerance are acted upon daily. Instead of loathing the individuals who give in to such feelings (the passive route), we should instead fight to destroy these hideous tactics and push for laws and policies that will disallow them in the future (the active route).

Whatever you do, go vote. I’m sure you can read the previous posts and easily guess who I will be voting for. However, I really just want everyone to vote. If you don’t vote, and you are eligible to do so, then you have failed to uphold the sacred trust the Founding Fathers gave to us. Regardless of the original intentions of the Founding Fathers, they laid a groundwork whereby we can stand and keep our nation strong. Peace and love to all.

Fellow citizens of the world, All Hail to the Christ Within,

Today marks the seventh anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks on America. I think we as a country need to stand up and take responsibility for our government. We can no longer call ourselves a democracy when only 50-55% of the American people voted in the Presidential elections in 2004. In this election, I want to see the number break 60%. If not, it will show that we are not ready for any kind of fundamental change in this nation.

Obama has been saying change since the beginning of his campaign, and now McCain has picked up that cry. That CRY is the cry of the Spirit of God to this nation. We all know, no matter our political views, that the USA must make substantive changes. Education, the Middle East, the military, law enforcement, the intelligence community, energy technology, and every other part of America needs revolution. However, if the people don’t stand up and make their voices heard, the same policies will continue regardless of who gets in office.

Here in Detroit, our Mayor has resigned and foolishness is continuing. People tried to put all the blame on him. Yes he made poor choices and brought the charges onto himself. At the same time, he was right in his final mayoral speech that his exit will not solve the city’s problems. All the issues are still on the table. The people of Detroit need to stand up. Maybe electing new people will work, or maybe coming down on the current administration and council will due. Change is coming!

Saints and friends, the time of passiveness has passed. It is time to be active. God is here. Go out and vote in November. Vote for the candidate you feel best represents your values and will lead the nation in the direction you think it should go. Don’t let only 25% of the nation tells us who should be president. Use your voice. Volunteer in your churches, your communities, your neighborhood schools and nursing homes. See what your local politicians are doing. Skip a sports game and sit in on a city council’s meetings (or whatever the equivalent is in your city or town). Talk to the local police and see what you can do to make your community better. Again, GO VOTE IN NOVEMBER. This will truly show the terrorists that they failed. Amen. Amen. Amen.

I have the honor to be your obedient servant,
I just can’t believe it! I know that to speak is to create. I know the thought of a thing is the prophecy of its fulfillment. I know race relations have improvements over the last few decades. But to see a BLACK MAN be the nominee of one the major U.S. political parties is sending electrical charges throughout my body. GLORY! I am watching Obama’s historic speech in Saint Paul, Minnesota as I type this. [Running and jumping around in my bedroom.]

“Tonight we mark the end to one historic journey with the beginning of another.” Obama is such an eloquent and intelligent man. We all should be proud tonight that we have two powerful politicians running for office. There are stark and clear differences between the policies of Barack Obama and John McCain. I look forward to the debates! I believe they will be modern day versions of the Lincoln-Douglas debates.

Politics and religion do mix. They mix because they are both a part of the public square. We cannot be afraid of laying out the sound gospel principles. The Christ principles are pragmatic and can guide politics to ideas that will uplift the fallen humanity. The fallen humanity MUST be uplifted individually, collectively, religiously, politically, governmentally. Let the people say, “Amen.”

This is history. I thank God I am alive in these years, to see this history unfolding before my eyes. Obama is so right, “This is our time!” Saints and friends, this is our time. Its Our Time to Shine.

I have the honor to be your obedient servant,
