Reverend George H. Latimer-Knight

George H. Latimer-Knight is the only child born to the union of Rev. Cassandra Latimer-Knight and Dec. Richard Knight. He accepted the call of Christ at an early age serving on the Altar Staff (Nov 9, 1986 to Nov 7, 1999). He also worked closely under his grandmother, Princess Georgia Latimer, in the National Office.

During his teenage years Brother George grew in the ranks of the Universal Hagar’s Spiritual Church. He entered the Hagar’s School of Mediumship and Psychology at age 13 (Jun 26, 1995), the Knights of the All Seeing Eye at age 14 (Sept 26, 1996), was appointed Supreme Vice-President of the Sunday School Convention also at 14 (Aug 21, 1996 to Aug 22, 2001), graduated from the HSMP at age 15 (Jun 16, 1997), and entered the Adept course at age 17 (Oct 4, 1999). Within the Michigan State Convocation he served as Vice-President of the Program Committee (Jun 15, 1996 to Jun 20, 1998) and was immediately elevated to President (an office he still holds). Within the chief auxiliaries he was appointed the President of Subordinate Medium’s League #1—Detroit at age 18 (Sept 12, 2000) and the Exalted Scribe of the Knights of the All Seeing Eye, Chapter #1—Detroit at age 19 (Nov 28, 2000). He currently remains in both offices.

At age 20 Professor George was elevated into the ministry. Appointed Assistant Pastor of Temple #2—Detroit (May 26, 2002) and ordained by the UHSC on Aug 17, 2002 in Hackensack, New Jersey during the August Convention. He has the distinct honor of being the youngest person ordained by the UHSC. Also, he and his mother were the first parent and child to be ordained together in UHSC history. The previous year he was appointed as Supreme President of the Sunday School Convention (Aug 22, 2001 to Aug 19, 2009). During the April Convention 2005 he was initiated into the Royal Chapter of the KASE (Apr 22, 2005), again the youngest in organizational history given that elevation. Rev. George also serves as the editor of the UHSC Sunday School lessons and the General Superintendent of the Sunday School (app. Aug 19, 2009) after serving one year as the Assistant.

As Rev. George grew spiritually, he concurrently grew academically. He’s an alumnus of the esteemed Cass Technical High School (Detroit, Michigan) with a major in Vocational Music. Rev. George graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy on May 10, 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Systems with a second major in Philosophy. Among his achievements are being listed on the National Dean’s List three consecutive years, being a lifelong member of three honors societies, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and receiving top honors from the CIS and Philosophy departments—a UDM first.

On June 1, 2009 Rev. George married the love of his life, the former Courtney S. Gilcrease. Rev. George and Mo. Courtney recently welcomed a new member to the family – Selena Georgia. Rev. George and Mo. Courtney Latimer-Knight have a heart for God’s work and desire to grow even further. Both of them work in the healthcare field extending God’s love and care outside of the church walls. FatherHurley.com (the Internet Ministry) began on March 17, 2000 and is the foundation stone of the newly evolving GHLK Ministries International.
