Speak with Wisdom (Proverbs 12:23)

“A prudent man concealeth knowledge: but the heart of fools proclaimeth foolishness.”—Proverbs 12:23

A close examination of the leadership styles of our former and current U.S. Presidents is a great study. President Obama was criticized for his low-key nature. He was criticized for being too thoughtful and careful. People loved to call him: “No drama” Obama. On the other hand, President Trump rose to the presidency through “telling it like it is.” He says whatever he wants. He tweets obsessively.

Now look at the results. Trump’s wild emotional swings have sent the nation into a tailspin. His travel ban caused mass confusion. His controversial tweets are getting in his way. Even his team talks too much. Now the nation is missing no drama Obama. Sometimes it’s best to conceal knowledge. This means to be deliberate about what you say, when you say it, and how you say it. When you say whatever, whenever, you will cause confusion. Trump supporters are becoming wearied by their champion. They’re realizing that though he has some good ideas—his approach is going to ruin his ability to make these things happen. Speak with wisdom.
