Happy New Year 2008 – Morning Message #11

God is going to bless us in 2008.

I can feel the Spirit of an Almighty God with us now.

We have to KNOW what we want.

We have to BELIEVE we can get what we want.

We have to WORK for what we want.

We have to SEE ourselves ALREADY having what we want.

We have to WANT nothing but righteous things for ourselves and others.

We have to know that GOD is ALL and ALL in our lives.

I FEEL HIM RIGHT NOW.

Amen. Amen. Amen.

One Million Saints – Morning Message #10

Yesterday evening during my prayer/meditation session, a lofty vision for the Universal Hagar’s Spiritual Church came to mind. We are not where we should be as a body, membership wise that is, but we are growing. In the vision, I saw many saints coming in the temple doors. I heard, “There will be one million saints.” Amen.

Again, this is very lofty, but possible. Let’s use an example of a church that starts out with a strong pastor and three dedicated saints. If each member was mandated with bringing in one convert per year, and each year new members followed the mandate, the three member church will grow exponentially. After one year there will be six members. After two year there will be 12 members. After year ten there will be 3072 members!

Of course retention and commitment are always an issue, but I think you get my point. Furthermore, we have the benefit of having pastors spread across the nation. And if memberships, across the nation, grew like this, more pastors will emerge, go on the field, and repeat the successful model.

One Million Saints. It will be so, maybe even within my lifetime. GLORY! What a wonderful thought.

Prayer #1 – Evening Message #9

Things have been so hectic in my life, that I could not go through my prayers at home today as normal. I will do something different and prayer through my fingers, so to speak.

Glorious and eternal Father, I praise you for life, health, and strength. I thank you for the knowledge of life eternal. The world is in such a deplorable condition, but through you Father all troubles will be overcome. Right now my Father touch every person who reads this prayer. Whatever problems are before them, let them be triumphant.

Precious savior go throughout the world. Spread the seeds of peace and harmony through the bodies of your servants. Touch every member of the UHSC throughout her bounds. Touch the elders and leaders of the UHSC that they will lead rightly. Touch the young people here and abroad. The world seems to be set up to distract them from Godly living. Help them all resist temptation and live a clean and holy life.

Right now Father I pray for healing; healing of the slightest pains, healing of the terminally ill, and healing for all conditions between. Lord you declared you are a healer.

Father touch my family and friends who have been good to me. Meet their individual needs I pray thee.

Lastly Father touch me who feels the least of all. You know what I stand in the need of. You know my vision. You know the immediate challenge before me now. I have felt weary over the last few days, but I know you are with me. Please touch me with the quickening spirit. Give me wisdom to know what to do, as I make these critical decisions over the next few days and weeks. Help all those who like me, have very challenging decisions before them. Let wisdom abide with them as well.

All these blessing I do ask you and thank you for. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen. Amen.

What’s Yours is Yours – Evening Message #7

Three powerful Hagar women. Thank you for supporting FatherHurley.com. While going through my prayer and meditation this morning three powerful Hagar women came to me in the spirit.

The first to come was Reverend Gussie E. Collier, past Supreme Mother of the Universal Hagar’s Spiritual Church, and pastor of Temple #9 Springfield, Ohio. When she came I could hear her saying, “Glory hallelujah! Glory hallelujah! Glory hallelujah!” She was a women of great wisdom. She knew how to remain silent, though she knew what was right. Every once and a while she would go ahead and speak her mind to the assembly. She was one that always tried to show me and teach me the right way. She encouraged me to live the right kind of life and to stay strong in the faith. Whatever success I do have, some of it has to be attributed to Supreme Mother Collier.

After that I could hear, “Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!”; that was Reverend Ruby Robbins, past Princess of Illinois and pastor of Temple #1 Chicago. I could see her at the Supreme Temple, during the conventions, being overshadowed by the spirit. Sometimes she would be so high in the spirit, even after everyone else had taken their seat, she would remain on her feet saying, “Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!”

Finally, Princess Ida Lee Childs came in forcefully. She came saying, “What’s yours is yours and no one can take it from you.” She said these words to me back in April 1995, seven months after the passing of my grandmother, Princess Georgia Latimer. The Wisemen Board was in the midst of a recess, and I had come in for something (I can’t remember for what now). She beaconed for me. I sat next to her and she said, “George. What’s yours is yours and no one can take it from you.” Today, I could hear those words over and over in my mind. A smile came upon my face as I heard her voice (and I feel good about it).

As I was coming out of meditation, I heard the mantra Princess Childs gave after all the Blessing Services she conducted, “Thank you Hurley. Thank you Hurley. Thank you Hurley….” However, I did not hear it her way, I heard it the way Professor John Wiley (my godfather) arranged it. When Princess Aquart conducted the Blessing in the April 2006 convention, she said the mantra. Professor Wiley put a jazzy-gospel organ feel behind it. The whole convention sang to it as if it were an old classic. (As soon as I can, I will learn the chords, and make a quick video to let you hear it.) May God bless you all.

Remember the words of Princess Childs, “What’s yours is yours and no one can take it from you.” Oh, people can take things. They can take your car. They can take your clothes. They can take houses and land. But no one can take the gifts that God has given you. No one can take your talents. No one can take your drive. No one can take your determination. No one can take your will. No one can take your spirit. No one can take your life. Even if someone were to kill your mortal body, your spirit would live on and on.

What’s yours is yours and no one can take it from you. Three powerful Hagar women. Thank you Father Hurley. Amen. Amen. Amen.

I have the honor to be your obedient servant,
Reverend George H. Latimer-Knight

On the Brink of Blessings – Evening Message #6

You are on the brink of blessings. Thank you for visiting FatherHurley.com. Today I went through my prayers and meditation at noon. I heard the spirit say, “You are on the brink of blessings.” Saints and friends don’t give up! When things are at their worst, have faith that the blessings of God are on the way.

Most people give up too soon. Thomas Edison was a failure. Abraham Lincoln was a failure. But neither one of them stayed in failure mode. They saw their failures as stepping stones to the plateau of success. You will never gain success without encountering some failures; learn from them and move on.

Keep yourself encouraged when things go wrong. Sing an uplifting song, say a prayer, meditate for a few minutes, run around the block, do whatever it takes to stay in an encouraged state. Hold on to the hope and promise of tomorrow by doing positive things today. God is still in the blessing business, although your order may not come when you want it. God’s blessing business has more than enough supply to meet all of our righteous demands and requests. You are on the brink of blessings. Peace and love to all.
