All Hail to the Christ Within,

We are ending the fourth day of fasting.

We had a gathering this evening that really touched my heart. The saints here in Michigan want to see the Headquarters temple restored and reopened in Hurley’s name. We sang, prayed, and held a unified righteous thought. The tears I saw rolling, to me, were tears of joy. Even in the midst of failures success is just around the corner. Oh glory to God.

I have to say it again, “It comes through fasting and praying.” The world cannot hinder the works of God. God desires ALL to be blessed. God desires ALL to be healed. God desires ALL to live in peace. Where then are the blessings, healing, and peace? It is within us precious saints. It is within us. We must act on what we believe. After the fast is over, we must go to work. After we pray, we must live a righteous life so that our lives are conducive to a blessing state.

The world is searching for the living bread, so says the songwriter. I agree. The world is looking for hope. Tonight, the greatest part of our gathering was seeing the children singing and participating. I hope they remember that it was the prayers and righteous works that did it. I pray that as they go into adulthood, when they are faced with great challenges, that they will sing, pray, fast, meditate, concentrate, think and work their way to victory. God bless you all.

Three powerful Hagar women. Thank you for supporting FatherHurley.com. While going through my prayer and meditation this morning three powerful Hagar women came to me in the spirit.

The first to come was Reverend Gussie E. Collier, past Supreme Mother of the Universal Hagar’s Spiritual Church, and pastor of Temple #9 Springfield, Ohio. When she came I could hear her saying, “Glory hallelujah! Glory hallelujah! Glory hallelujah!” She was a women of great wisdom. She knew how to remain silent, though she knew what was right. Every once and a while she would go ahead and speak her mind to the assembly. She was one that always tried to show me and teach me the right way. She encouraged me to live the right kind of life and to stay strong in the faith. Whatever success I do have, some of it has to be attributed to Supreme Mother Collier.

After that I could hear, “Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!”; that was Reverend Ruby Robbins, past Princess of Illinois and pastor of Temple #1 Chicago. I could see her at the Supreme Temple, during the conventions, being overshadowed by the spirit. Sometimes she would be so high in the spirit, even after everyone else had taken their seat, she would remain on her feet saying, “Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!”

Finally, Princess Ida Lee Childs came in forcefully. She came saying, “What’s yours is yours and no one can take it from you.” She said these words to me back in April 1995, seven months after the passing of my grandmother, Princess Georgia Latimer. The Wisemen Board was in the midst of a recess, and I had come in for something (I can’t remember for what now). She beaconed for me. I sat next to her and she said, “George. What’s yours is yours and no one can take it from you.” Today, I could hear those words over and over in my mind. A smile came upon my face as I heard her voice (and I feel good about it).

As I was coming out of meditation, I heard the mantra Princess Childs gave after all the Blessing Services she conducted, “Thank you Hurley. Thank you Hurley. Thank you Hurley….” However, I did not hear it her way, I heard it the way Professor John Wiley (my godfather) arranged it. When Princess Aquart conducted the Blessing in the April 2006 convention, she said the mantra. Professor Wiley put a jazzy-gospel organ feel behind it. The whole convention sang to it as if it were an old classic. (As soon as I can, I will learn the chords, and make a quick video to let you hear it.) May God bless you all.

Remember the words of Princess Childs, “What’s yours is yours and no one can take it from you.” Oh, people can take things. They can take your car. They can take your clothes. They can take houses and land. But no one can take the gifts that God has given you. No one can take your talents. No one can take your drive. No one can take your determination. No one can take your will. No one can take your spirit. No one can take your life. Even if someone were to kill your mortal body, your spirit would live on and on.

What’s yours is yours and no one can take it from you. Three powerful Hagar women. Thank you Father Hurley. Amen. Amen. Amen.

       All the past editions of The Light of Prophecy have been uploaded to the new FatherHurley.com. The Spirit of God has reinvigorated all the ministries He intrusted to me.
       Clarify in your mind what you want to accomplish next year. I encourage you to, “Close the year strong”. Get your plan together now. Start the year working your plan. The Internet Ministry, FatherHurley.com, is growing, come and grow with us. Amen.

III. The Call of Prophetic Ministry
Fellow citizens of the world, brothers and sisters in Christ, All Hail:
       All my life I have tried to deny the call of ministry on my life. This may sound strange, considering I accepted the call of ordained ministry on August 17, 2002. Sometimes we are given blessings, and opportunities, but do not fully take advantage of them.
       My grandmother, Rev. Georgia Latimer, asked me about ministry when I was 10 years old. I was leaning on the wall on the right side of her desk. She asked me, in her dignified voice, “George, do you want to be a minister?” I said, without hesitation, “No.” She replied, “Why?” I gave this answer, “Look at you. You help people all the time, and many do not appreciate you. And most of the people in the association will not realize how good you are until long after you’re dead.” She sat straight up, nodded, and said, “I know. But one day, the association will be in such a condition, that you will have no other choice but to be ordained.” After a few seconds of silence, I responded, “Well, I promise you one thing. If I ever hear the spirit calling, I will answer.” This is one of the most prophetic conversations I ever had with my Grandmother.
       Just today, as I write this article, a fuller and deeper understanding came to me concerning this exchange, than ever before. I prophesied to her. She prophesied to me.
       I prophesied to her. She has been in the sweet beyond for exactly 12 years and 3 months. There are some saints and ministers of the Universal Hagar’s Spiritual Church, who are just now waking up to the blessings she possessed. Her words of wisdom and prophecy are just now being awakened. I have heard members say, across the country, how much she meant to them. However, when she was in the flesh, they did her wrong. Some even tried to move her from power before she passed on. Yet the same ones now say, they wish she was still here in the body.
       She prophesied to me. I will not speak overly negative concerning my church family. But no one can deny that the Universal Hagar’s Spiritual Church has watered down her message. Father Hurley spoke on many issues, and fought the injustices of his day. A number of us in the UHSC avoid controversy at all costs. We make it a priority to not hurt people’s feelings. We make it a priority to make folk happy, but never challenge them to improve. This was the “condition” that she saw in the spirit. This is why I had to be ordained in 2002.
       I will answer. I thought when I got ordained that I had answered the spirit. I did, to be sure, but God has many callings. God has a ultimate purpose for our lives, yet there are various avenues we must trend upon to fulfill the purpose. In my private study, my prayer life, my meditation time, and so forth, God has revealed a diversity of ministries, ideas, and solutions to me. I realize now, that I must walk in each one, no matter how hard it seems, in order to fulfill my ultimate purpose, given to me by God.
       I know. When I prophesied to my Grandmother, she replied, “I know.” She, having been on the spiritual journey all her life, had received revelation from the Spirit of God, on many issues. We must all KNOW our ultimate purpose, without any doubt. Why? So that, when storms and rains come in life, we will be able to endure. We must KNOW we will come out victorious. We must KNOW that God will provide us with the means necessary to do his will. We must KNOW that God is able to place us where we need to be.
       Prophetic Ministry. God has called me to Prophetic Ministry. The first calling came in January 2000 when I heard the Spirit of God, through the voice of Father Hurley say, “Build a website about me.” On January 6, 2002, I launched an Internet newsletter called, The Light of Prophecy.
       To tell you the truth, I am not sure where the Prophetic Ministry will lead me. I have no fear about this though. God is infinite, and we are finite. We will never fully understand every step God leads us to take. This is why faith in God, no matter how spiritually developed we are, is necessary. We must have faith that God will lead us right.
       Apologizes. Let me apologize to my parents, my closest coworkers, and my church family. I have been fighting within, all year long. When 2006 came in, I had vary sharp stomach pains, and was curled up in the fetal position upon my bed. The Spirit of God spoke a truth, about me, to me. All of 2006 has represented my coming to grips with this, and other revelations.
       This process has caused great rage to build up in me. I have often let my temper flare up toward those who are closest to me, and those who are truly good to me. For this I am deeply sorry. As the songwriter wrote, “Please be patient with me, God is not through with me yet. When God gets through with me, I shall come forth like pure gold.”
       Righteous Indignation. This built up rage in me is righteous indignation. According to Webster, indignation is “anger aroused by something unjust, mean, or unworthy.” Anger is “a strong feeling of displeasure or hostility.” I have felt displeasure, because I know I have not been letting God use me as He wills. I have felt displeasure, because I know the ministry of the Universal Hagar’s Spiritual Church, must be reignited. I have felt displeasure, because I see men and women suffering because they lack spiritual knowledge of self, and I have failed to preach this message. I have felt displeasure, because I can see the legacy of past saints of the UHSC being overlooked. I have felt displeasure, because Father Hurley played a great role in the history of this country, and time has come for the downplaying of him to stop. I have felt displeasure, because I held back many books, songs, lectures, sermons, businesses, ministries, committees, and much more, that God placed in me. NO MORE!

       Closing Prayer. O Glorious Savior! We know You live in us. Rejoice in us. Help us to let go of this world system. Give us strength to live out Your purpose in us. Amen. Amen. Amen.

As we travel through the roads of life, obstacles will get in our way. However, we must press forward. In order to do so, we must have faith. Faith that no matter how things look, a brighter future is ahead. In our Message Circle service tonight, I was reminded of a great analogy concerning the sun.

When Mo. Christine Milton was in her final stages of life, Rev. John Lewis had me give her a message, out loud, from the pulpit. It was in the fall 1999 (she passed that December). The message from the Spirit was, “Remember, the sun is always shining. Even on a cloudy day, the sun is shining. Even at the darkest hour of night, the sun is shining. Regardless of whether you see the sun, it is shining for you. God, through the teachings of Father Hurley, has given you a great light, the sun. This Sunlight will always shine on you.” When I stepped out the pulpit, I looked at Mo. Milton, she had a big smile on her face.

This message is for you as well. It can make you smile through your trials. No matter the obstacles in your life, the sun is still shining. Have faith in tomorrow. I can heard my grandmother, Rev. Georgia Latimer saying, “Where there is life, there is hope.” So, since you are still alive, there is hope. Life WILL improve, provided you keep faith and hope alive, and are willing to work for it.
