Procrastination: Enemy to Kingdom Building

In a short video, from a website called You Tube, we find our cartoon friend never ‘gets his stuff done’. Everything gets in his way, from the dishes to grocery shopping. In truth, though, he gets in his own way. He is not focused on the task at hand. I have a real problem with procrastination. The problem, for me, is that I have so much to do, that I let it overwhelm me, then somedays nothing gets done. Lately, the Spirit of God has revived me. I find myself prioritizing tasks, giving myself early due dates.

Procrastination is an enemy to the kingdom of God. We have a limited time, to be on earth, in these mortal bodies. God has a work for each of us. Therefore, time spent doing nothing, is time neglecting the building of the kingdom.

Do not misunderstand me, rest and relaxation are important. However, some of us find ourselves resting from all our relaxing. No good! Not when there are souls crying out for redemption. Not when there are homeless walking the streets. Not when our rich country cannot properly education our children.

Take sometime to plan your day. You may not get it all done, but something is better than nothing. You may have to take a detour, but at least you will know where you are trying to go. May God bless you in all your undertakings.

I have the honor to be your obedient servant,
